A ROCHA joined Imagine Science to make an training opportunity available to you: Geographic Information Systems – Quantum GIS Initiation Training, from 26 to 30 January 2015, in Ria de Alvor – Mexilhoeira Grande (Portugal).
The training course’s objective is to provide key skills to work with Quantum GIS software.
The development of GIS competences is highly valued in professional and academic levels, hence the usefulness of this course, since this tool is extremely versatile, with uses in a wide range of knowledge areas.
The theoretical part of the program will take place during 3 three days and will be assured by Faunalia, leader in the market of GIS training, having more than 10 years of experience, with branches in Portugal and Italy and operating worldwide. It is also the most experienced company in the world in training courses on Open Source GIS, with more than 150 courses, seminars and workshops.
For consolidation and illustration of the acquired skills the training program contemplates two days of field work, in Ria de Alvor (one of the most emblematic wetlands of the southern region of Portugal), where A ROCHA’s team will conduct the trainees in data sampling through birdwatching and identification of flora invasive species .
